MyTrucking Mobile App

Manage jobs, capture information, and stay connected while on the road

Written by Support

The MyTrucking Mobile App helps drivers receive jobs electronically, view job details, navigate to locations, record job information, attach documents and photos, and send completed jobs back to the office. This reduces paperwork and gives dispatchers real-time visibility of job progress.

What Does the Mobile App Do?

Using the Mobile App, drivers can:

  • Receive jobs assigned to their vehicle

  • Accept jobs to notify dispatch that they have been received

  • View job details and job notes

  • Open locations in Google Maps or Apple Maps

  • Enter job information and driver-returned data

  • Upload attachments, photos, and documents

  • Complete and submit jobs back to the office

  • Add or edit jobs (if they have the required permissions)

Downloading the App

The MyTrucking Mobile App is available for both:

  • Android devices via Google Play

  • Apple iPhones and iPads via the App Store

The app works on most modern smartphones and tablets and is free to download. Customers can search for MyTrucking in their device's app store or use the QR code.

💡 Tip: Always keep the app updated to ensure you have the latest features, improvements, and fixes. Automatic updates are recommended where possible.

Logging In

Drivers log in to the app using their login details you create for them when setting them up.

Once logged in, the app will display vehicles that have active jobs assigned to the driver. Selecting a vehicle shows all jobs currently assigned to that vehicle.

Receiving and Accepting Jobs

When jobs are assigned to a vehicle or driver, drivers can:

  • Accept all jobs at once

  • Accept individual jobs

Accepting a job lets the dispatcher know it has been received. In MyTrucking, the job status indicator changes to show that the driver has acknowledged the work.

Viewing Job Details

Drivers can open a job to view:

  • Pickup and delivery locations

  • Job notes

  • Contact details

  • Reference information

  • Any additional details configured by the business

The information available in the app depends on the Mobile App settings configured by your organisation.

Please note: Drivers using the MyTrucking Mobile App cannot view rates, pricing, fixed rates, or rate card calculations. Rate information is only available to users with access to the MyTrucking web platform.

Using Maps and Navigation

The Mobile App can launch Google Maps or Apple Maps directly from the job.

Drivers can:

  • Tap the origin or destination location

  • Open the location in their preferred mapping application

  • Navigate using either the address or stored GPS coordinates

If a location has map coordinates saved in MyTrucking, the app can use these for more accurate navigation.

Completing Jobs

Drivers can enter information during or after a job, including details configured by the business.

Once complete, the driver can submit the job back to MyTrucking using the Send button. The dispatcher will then see that the job has been returned and is ready for review and completion.

Mobile App Settings

Administrators can control what information is available to drivers by configuring Mobile App Options under:

Account → General Settings → Mobile App Options

Available options include:

  • Show or hide client phone numbers

  • Show charge clients

  • Show origin and destination clients

  • Show start and end time fields

  • Show order/reference numbers

  • Configure which reference fields are displayed

  • Configure which weight fields are available

  • Require jobs to be manually sent to drivers before they appear in the app

These settings allow each business to tailor the Mobile App experience to their operational requirements.
