Files that are attached to a job are sent to the Mobile App so that your drivers can download and view them.Β
Attachments can significantly enhance workflow efficiency by making important documents, such as instructions and maps, readily available to drivers. This not only saves time but also ensures documentation accuracy.
βNote: The mobile app supports viewing supported file types which have been attached to a job by the dispatcher. However, when returning a job, drivers can only upload images.
Attaching Files to a JobΒ (from the computer)
From the Edit Job page, you can attach files by clicking the Add Attachment button.
π‘ Top Tip
To add an attachment to a job, the job must first be saved. When creating a new job, click the Save (Edit) button. This will save the job and put it into edit mode, allowing you to upload attachments.
You're unable to add attachments directly to contracts. However, once a job has been split from a contract, you can then add attachments to the job.
Viewing Attached Files on the App
From the Job Details page on the Mobile App drivers can tap on Attachments to view the links to the files that have been attached to the job.
Pressing on the file name will download the attachment to the device and it will open with the appropriate viewer. The file will only be downloaded once for each job.
