This feature is currently in beta. If you’d like to try it out, let us know and we’ll add you to the list for the next rollout.
What is a Beta Feature?
A beta feature is a new tool or functionality that’s still in development but ready for real-world testing. It’s not the final version, but it’s close - and we’re inviting a small group of customers to try it out and give us feedback before we roll it out to everyone.
Think of it like a sneak peek: you get early access, and we get valuable insights from your experience. This helps us identify any bugs, improve usability, and make sure the feature works well across different devices and workflows before the full launch.
Beta features may still have a few rough edges, so we appreciate your patience and input. Your feedback helps shape the final version and ensures it meets your needs.
What is Job Sharing with Inter-MyTrucking?
Share jobs directly with other MyTrucking companies in just a few clicks. Add your subcontractors, assign the job, and track clear statuses at a glance (Sent, Accepted, Completed). When the subcontractor’s driver uploads the job, key job details flow back to you automatically, saving time and paperwork.
Key points to note:
Job Owner: When you assign a job to your subcontractor, your subcontractor must review and accept it before it appears on their Daysheet.
Subcontractor: Review and accept the job before assigning it to your vehicle. You also match the fields to yours to ensure your key data isn’t duplicated.
Your rates are not shared - however you can enable a Cost Rate field which will flow into the Rate or Total fields (for fixed price jobs) in the subcontractors account.
Only the Job Owner needs the Job Sharing with Inter-MyTrucking feature enabled. Subcontractors don't need to be enabled.
How will Subcontractors be billed?
For the Job Owner - Subcontractors will be billed the same way vehicles are, they count toward your total vehicle usage for the month. This means you’ll only be charged for the subcontractors you actually use during that billing period. To ensure a smooth transition, any new subcontractors you add won’t be billed for the first month. This gives you time to review your setup and make sure that any vehicles you previously created to represent subcontractors are archived, so you’re not charged twice.
💡 Top Tip
If you're unsure how you'll be billed, your Income by Vehicle Report will show the number of subcontractors and vehicles you will be billed for the following month. This will also highlight any subcontractors you previously had set up as vehicles, which you should archive.
