If you need to manage a complex transportation job with multiple stops or intermediate destinations, use the Multi-Leg feature.

If you want to create separate, independent jobs from an existing job, use the Split Job feature.

Multi-Leg Feature

Clicking the blue truck icon when adding jobs allows you to create a single job with multiple legs or activities. Each leg represents a stage in the transportation process, such as pickup, intermediate stops, and final delivery.

An example of when a multi-leg job is used is when a shipment needs to be picked up from a supplier, transported to a warehouse for temporary storage, and then delivered to the final customer. All these activities are managed within a single job entry.

Split Job Feature

Clicking the Blue Split icon allows you to create new jobs from an existing job, where the Quantity entered is subtracted from the original job. Each new job is independent and can be split again if required.

An example of when a split job is used is when a job is created that cannot be fulfilled by a single vehicle. The job is split and a vehicle is assigned to each new job.

For details on how to use the Split Job feature, refer to the Split Jobs article.

Multi-Leg is best for complex, multi-stage shipments, while Split Job is ideal for dividing large jobs or creating independent copies of existing jobs.
