A Fuel Levy is an additional charge added to your invoice to cover fuel price variations.
The additional levy is an easily adjusted percentage of the invoice that allows the product rates to remain constant.
The way to add this manually onto an invoice is to first load Fuel Levy / Fuel adjustment as a product, set the rate to Use This Rate, and then load the rate.
If you are adding the fuel levy per job, once a job has been completed, go into Edit Job page from the Invoicing by Charge Client page, add a row, select the product as Fuel Levy, then put the amount you wish to calculate the percentage on in the Qty box. The rate you have entered in the Product, will then calculate the levy amount for you.
If you are adding the Fuel Levy per invoice, go to the Invoice by Charge Client page, mark the jobs you're going to invoice to get a sub total, this amount will be what you enter in the Qty box when adding the Fuel Levy to a job. See image below.
Go to the last job in the list, click on the job to enter edit job page, click add a row, select the product as Fuel Levy, then put the subtotal amount you calculated in the Qty box. The rate you have entered in the Product will then calculate the levy amount for you.
Make sure you tick the job as done, and then press save.
To make sure it posts to your accounting program (excluding Xero) remember to tick as ready to invoice, on the invoicing page.
