As well as taking a photo or choosing an image from the photo gallery, you can select files saved elsewhere on your device, such as Downloads, Documents, or your device's file manager.
This makes it easier to attach documents to a job without needing to take a screenshot or save them to your photo gallery first.
What files can I upload?
You can upload:
Images: JPEG, PNG and HEIC/HEIF
Documents: PDF and CSV
Maximum file size: 5 MB per file
HEIC/HEIF images are converted to a supported image format so they can be viewed correctly after they've been uploaded.
Note: If you select a file type that isn't supported, you'll see a message letting you know which file formats you can upload.
How to upload a file from your device
When adding an attachment to a job:
Tap Attach File.
Choose the option to select a file from your device.
Browse to where your file is saved.
Select the file you want to attach.
The file will be uploaded and attached to the job.
You'll still have the existing options to take a photo or choose an image from your photo gallery.
Finding your uploaded attachments
Once uploaded, attachments are saved against the job and can be accessed from both the MyTrucking Mobile App and the MyTrucking web app.
Images will display as images, while other supported files, such as PDFs, can be opened or downloaded.
Using an iPhone or Android device
Uploading files from device storage is available on both iOS and Android.
The file selection screen may look slightly different depending on your device, as MyTrucking uses your phone's standard file picker.
Having trouble uploading a file?
If your file won't upload, check that:
The file is one of the supported formats listed above.
The MyTrucking Mobile App has permission to access the files you want to upload.
If an upload fails, follow the message displayed in the app and try again.
