Automatic Delivery Notification (ADN) sends an email with driver attachments to the clients involved in a job as soon as the driver uploads the job from the Mobile App.
Notifications can be sent to the Charge Client, Origin, and Destination clients, provided the “Receive Delivery Notification” option is ticked on their client record.
What’s included in the delivery notification email
Each delivery notification email contains:
The job date
The delivery time (taken from the End Time field in the Mobile App)
Job details, shown as the invoice description for the delivered product
The delivery address
Your company name, address, email address, and phone number
All images and signatures uploaded by the driver for the job
💡 Top Tip
For Multi‑Leg jobs, delivery notifications are only sent for the delivery leg.
For single‑leg jobs with multiple job lines, a separate delivery notification is sent for each job line.
Customising the Delivery Notification Email Template
If you'd like to change the default Automatic Delivery Notification (ADN) email template, please contact the MyTrucking Support Team.
The Delivery Notification email template cannot be edited or customised by users.
The Support Team can customise the template for you, including:
Adding or removing text
Adding or removing available job fields
Adjusting the content included in the email
This allows you to tailor the information your customers receive when delivery notifications are sent.
Note: Customisation is currently limited to text and available job fields. Logos, images, colours, and advanced formatting are not supported.
💡 Contact the MyTrucking Support Team and we'll be happy to discuss your requirements.
Configuring Delivery Notification
Delivery notifications are configured per client in your database.
On the Edit Client page, you’ll find a checkbox next to each email address. Ticking this box enables delivery notifications for that email address/es.
Each client can have multiple email addresses separated by a comma
Either one, or both fields, can be selected to receive delivery notifications
Important notes
The first email address is used for invoicing and is passed to your accounting system
If your customer prefers delivery notifications to go to a different email address, enter this in the second email field
If delivery notifications need to be sent to additional recipients, you can enter multiple email addresses separated by a comma.
Who receives the email
Delivery notification emails are sent to any client involved in the job, including Works Buyers and Stock Agents.
If a client is both the Charge Client and the Origin or Destination, they will receive only one email.
When the email is sent
The delivery notification is sent when the driver returns the job from the Mobile App, and the job icon changes to yellow.
How Do I Know if the Email Has Been Sent?
The delivery notification email is automatically sent when:
The client has an email address recorded in MyTrucking, and
The job icon turns yellow, indicating the driver has returned the job.
Please note: There is currently no email history or sent confirmation available within MyTrucking for delivery notification emails. If the above conditions are met, the email will be sent automatically.
